When she could
no longer care for Lucy, and her companion Spike, Lucy's owner
packed the two little dogs up and took them down the road to
give them to a neighbor, a professional dog handler who made his
living showing dogs, hoping that he wou
ld,
through
his contacts, be able to find this unfortunate little pair new
homes. The dog handler contacted
his friend who was a local dog groomer, to ask her for help, and
she just happened to be a volunteer for the French Bulldog
Village! Ms. Lucy is staying in foster care with Spike,
her traveling companion, and is getting along very well with the
resident Frenchies in her foster home.
Lucy is a
tiny girl at just 15 pounds. She has spent
her life being a brood bitch, but now that she has been spayed
and vaccinated and wormed and had her nails done, she is feeling
like a new girl. No more popping out puppies to please
other people, it's finally Lucy's time to shine. Small and
sweet, but decidedly opinionated (no cats!), she can't wait to
spend the rest of her life being spoiled.
